can some one tell me if this is true on molecule assemblers than say 3D printer?

molecule assemblers are not 3D printers but assemble 1 molecule at a time to they build some thing and they do not need raw materials has they are moving individual molecules of atoms around to bulld stuff.

This is what I understand I don’t know what the engineering problems are with 3D printer or a molecule assembler but molecule assembler are scfi now but hope in the future it will go from sfi to reality.I don’t know what the engineering problems are or what they hope to do with 3D printer or a molecule assemblers.

How will this change the world or say medicine? They say molecule assembler is sort of like replicator does in star trek except it can be used in medicine, manufacturing plant, homes, and if you can make it run in reverse it can be used in junk yards to obtain raw materials in the ultimate form of recycling.

Veronica’s View: A Seasonal Greeting that Transcends the Season
*This has been a bumper crop year of Christmas cards for me. I absolutely love them. Some have photographic covers of family members and cherished friends. Others have scenes of snow covered forests which seems a bit surreal because I live in Los Angeles and we’ve had summer like temperatures lately. Many have been artsy. [...]

3D cover design service – Why You Should Use This Today

As we all know, some of the most lucrative businesses in the World Wide Web today are focused in providing people or customers with digital goods and services that aren’t readily available in actual stores and shops. We hear about tycoons sprouting from internet marketing, selling e-books, music, movies, and all kinds of products online without having to worry about leaving the online store unmanned.  But with the latest advancements in technology and new styles of advertising, people aren’t quick to bite on these simple kinds of products anymore unless they really stand out among the millions of other products in the market.

What most sellers and online businessmen and women would do now is to get their products, whether they are an e-book, an online guide, or a program or important software, decorated and designed through a 3D cover design service online.  Companies who specialize in 3D design for online goods will be able to make your products look a whole lot better, adding quality, creativity, and of course an eye-catching effect to attract customers even more.  If you try searching through the Google and Yahoo listings, you’ll be amazed at how vast and numerous the services and companies behind them are.  This shows that this type of business is booming and that their services have helped a lot of sellers and internet marketers in marketing and promoting their products to customers all over the world.

But of course, there is always the chance that one or five of these kinds of 3D cover design service could be a fraud.  A lot of so-called companies would use all kinds of methods and strategies just to get people to fall for their advertisements and claims of being the number 1 or the top in the industry.  Once a customer bites the bait then the scammers take the money and would leave him or her with either bad or worthless 3D designs or absolutely nothing at all.  To avoid this from happening to you, remember the following:

•    Research is always the best defense, so take the time to research online for the best 3D cover design service and see what they have that others do not.  Use your findings as personal criteria when picking a service to design your product.
•    Don’t settle with the outer appearance of their website alone.  Take a look at some of their samples, what other customers have to say about them and of course online reviews about the company.  These are normally written by professionals and actual customers are great sources of information about a particular 3D cover design service so use this to your advantage.
•    Decide on the kind of style and design that you really want for your products first before picking out a particular cover design service.  This would make things a lot easier as you will be able to narrow down your choices and find and finalize a 3D cover design that will boost your sales and advertising campaigns to the roof.

Looking to design quality and professional images quickly? You don’t need to use third party software – use http://www.ecover-go.com to create quality images and then turn them into ecovers, software boxes, or even 3D cover design service!

Does this device have a name?

I received a gift from a client that he produced on a 3D printer. It consists of a square base with 2 perpendicular slots in it. There is a short rail inside each slot. The 2 rails are attached to a long handle with a knob at the end. When you turn the knob, the rails slide back and forth past each other in their slots. The handle turns and the knob ends up tracing out an ellipse.

Any idea what this thing is called?

What does the future bring us? What big events/projects are coming this century?

Here’s what i learnt so far:

- X-Seed 4000 – A 3 mile high building (3200 ft taller than MT Fuji). It will house over 1 million people.

- Galactic Internet – A global internet span to the moon, mars, and space in between the gaps.

- Universal Language – This would be a secondary language that every country would know next to their native language.

- Space Asteroid Defense System (SADS) – A defense against random Asteroids flowing through space that could be a cause of destroying earth.

- Perpetual Energy – The idea that you cold gain something from nothing. Meaning motors that would keep on working without any source of energy to power it.

- Terabytes – For those of you that don’t know; 1 terabyte is 1024 gigabytes. Say good bye to the gigabytes.

- Graphene Circuit boards & transistors – Thats right! An even better material than silicon is gonna be used instead. It has higher heat resistances than silicon making it possible to perform more tasks in our technology and at further distances at a faster rate.

- Reverse Microwave – Think of an ordinary house microwave and what it is performed to do but, in reverse. Thats right, you no longer have to worry about your ice cream melting on a hot sunny day ever again. This device will allow you to freeze food very quicky instead of waiting hours for something to freeze.

- 3D Printers – The idea where a printer could print actual 3d objects. You could actually buy theses today if you have the money but, they are expensive for now. They’ll get cheaper further in the future. It would be great for is you are buying stuff online and you could just print out instead of waiting for a week.

- Super Soldiers – The military are inventing and designing high tech robotic armory for their marine troops. They already have what is known as an “Exoskeleton”. This robotic suit doubles human capabilities with less the effort.

- Floating Cities – Man made structures advance ever so rapidly but, we are running out of land to build on so, why not build structures on the ocean itself. Not only would we be able have floating cities, but the advantage is that they would deploy and reassemble in another location. No more worrying about tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, mudslides, nor tornadoes.

What have you learn’t so far? Is there anything to add? Do you got ideas of your own? One thing i hope they improve is battery life for all these small gadgets.
